Samsung Now Shipping Latest AI Fridges, Ranges

Newest Bespoke appliances designed to work smartly via both Bixby and SmartThings to help consumers accomplish more in the kitchen with less work.

Samsung has begun shipping its latest generation of Bespoke AI appliances, rolling out a connected lineup of smart refrigerators, ranges, and robo vacuums designed to bring what the company calls a more intuitive, personalized “home companion” experience into the home and beyond.

Framing the launch, Jay Kim, Samsung’s EVP and head of software R&D and AI strategy, outlined the company’s broader AI strategy for the home, positioning Samsung’s smart appliances as active participants in daily life rather than passive tools.

“Our goal is to support everyday life and household tasks so that people can lead more convenient and enriched lives,” Kim said. “In two words, ‘Home Companion.’ Bespoke AI makes consumers’ lives easier, and it does that in three strategic directions: agentic, perception, and reliability… a true home assistant that understands each family member and offers personalized support in the moments that matter most.”

That vision is now showing up in the Samsung’s latest AI kitchen appliances, including two newly shipping smart refrigerators – the solid-front Bespoke AI 3-door/French door ($2,990/$2,199 depending on depth and finish) and the Bespoke AI 3-door/French door with in-door water ($2,299-$2,399) – first previewed at CES and now arriving at retail in both full and counter-depth models.

According to Samsung, both new Bespoke refrigerators combine updated industrial design with deeper integration of AI-driven food management, as well as the company’s redesigned “zero clearance” hinge system that allows fridge doors to fully open with minimal side space, giving them a built-in look.

Models with Samsung’s see-through and illuminated AutoView door will be available later this year. And, coming in May, will be next-gen Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerators with AI Vision powered by Google Gemini.

Accompanying the camera-equipped fridges is Samsung’s AI Vision “Food Manager,” which uses cloud-based recognition to identify and track stored food items in real time. The system can recognize dozens of fresh-food categories locally and expand that list via cloud AI to maintain an up-to-date inventory of what’s inside a consumer’s refrigerator.

Practically, AI Vision helps consumers eliminate guesswork from meal planning to grocery shopping. Through the SmartThings app, users can check fridge contents remotely, build shopping lists, and check voluminous recipe suggestions based on available ingredients and dietary preferences.

Dimitri Politis, Samsung’s digital appliance national training manager, emphasized the company’s goal to create a more seamless kitchen workflow, where appliances anticipate needs rather than wait for commands. “Using a combination of our Bespoke AI Vision inside as well as our SmartThings app, you’re now able to see exactly what’s in your fridge right from where you stand in the store.”

Beyond AI, the refrigerators also incorporate a range of consumer-friendly hardware upgrades, including taller water dispensers designed to accommodate larger bottles, auto-fill pitchers with built-in sensors to prevent spills, and multiple ice formats—including decorative “sphere ice” designed to melt more slowly in beverages.

Smarter Bespoke Ranges

Samsung is also now shipping three new slide-in ranges across its 90- ($1,999-$2,199 depending on fuel and finish), 80- ($1,599 -$1,999), and 70-series ($1,299 electric, $1,399 gas, stainless steel only) lines, each model designed to integrate with the broader Bespoke AI ecosystem.

The flagship 90-series introduces illuminated precision control knobs, a feature that serves both aesthetic and functional purposes. “You’re going to know exactly when that specific burner is turned on, which is extremely helpful,” Politis noted, highlighting the added safety benefit.

Across its range lineup, Samsung continues to emphasize flexibility and usability with features such as both steam- and self-clean oven modes, allowing users to choose between lighter maintenance cycles and deeper high-heat cleaning depending on usage.

AI also plays a growing role in cooking performance. Samsung’s AI-powered ovens use internal cameras and trained models to recognize dishes, estimate portion sizes, and automatically recommend cooking modes, temperatures, and times. The system can monitor food in real time, detect overcooking, and even generate shareable cooking clips, an increasingly social-media-friendly feature.

The new ranges are expected to align with Samsung’s existing mid- to premium-tier slide-in lineup.

New Robo Vacs for Q3

The same AI backbone extends beyond the kitchen. Samsung’s newest robotic vacuums use object recognition to distinguish between obstacles such as cables versus debris, allowing them to clean more intelligently without manual intervention.

The new vacuums are expected to reach retailers this summer, when pricing will be announced.

Tying all of Samsung’s appliances together is the company’s SmartThings platform and Bixby voice assistant, both of which are being updated to support more natural interactions, proactive device management, and remote diagnostics. The company’s Home Appliance Remote Management system can monitor device status, detect potential issues, and even provide service teams with pre-diagnosed data to streamline repairs.

Kim noted the overarching goal is to make Samsung’s AI appliance feel less like a feature and more like an invisible layer of assistance across the home.

“Agent means autonomy… a home assistant that acts on your behalf, so you spend less time managing your home and more time enjoying it. Perception is awareness… making every interaction feel intuitive. Reliability is trust,” he said. “This is the vision and direction for Bespoke AI—and we are just getting started.”
