At the beginning of the year Traeger introduced the Woodridge pellet grill which replaced their extremely popular Pro 575. It’s at an important price point for Traeger because it was the entry into their connected grills.
With how feature rich the Woodridge is, I even wondered if it would canibalize models that were further upmarket. With the new Pro+ model that Traeger just added that continues to be a big possibility.
The suggested retail price for this grill is $1,399, but it lists for $100 cheaper at Ace Hardware. It doesn’t appear to be on sale either, it just has a lower price. I don’t know if Ace will update it or if it’s part of Traeger’s plan to shut down selling products on their website.
In the original article on the Woodridge I go through all the differences of the various models, so check that out for a refresher. The new Pro+ slates in-between the Pro model and the Elite model.
The difference between the Pro and the Pro+ is the Pro+ has a cabinet underneath the grill. It adds additional storage, and it gives a more substantial look to the grill.
That makes the only real difference between the Pro+ and the Elite is that the Elite has a side burner. Before, the cabinet was one of the differentiators of the Elite.
