GE Profile Announces Two New Dishwasher Models

Dishwashers bring flexibility to a variety of lifestyles.

GE Profile has announced the availability of its GE Profile Smart Compact Dishwasher for countertop or built-in installation, and the GE Profile Dishwasher Double Drawer, giving owners two independent drawers in the space of one.

“From cramped city apartments to converted in-law suites, the compact dishwasher presents a variety of solutions to a universal pain point: the tedious task of handwashing dishes,” said Cynthia Fanning, vice president of kitchen clean-up at GE Appliances. “As these specialized spaces grow in popularity, our new Smart Compact Dishwasher stands as a testament to efficiency and sophistication, ensuring clean dishes and convenience are never compromised, regardless of kitchen size or location.”

The GE Profile Smart Compact Dishwasher can be installed in three different ways depending on your setup – on the countertop, under-the-sink, or built into the cabinetry. For the countertop configuration, the Compact Dishwasher attaches to a faucet and drains into the sink, providing a flexible draining setup.

As an alternative, GE Profile created a complementary trim kit, fitting most faucets or refrigerator water lines, which allows the dishwasher to be built into the cabinetry or installed under the sink with less construction. The reintroduction of an under-the-sink installation offers a solution for those looking to conserve kitchen space or with limited installation options.

Available at launch, the dishwasher will also offer a NEW Baby Care Cycle. Designed to help multitasking parents save time, this cycle sanitizes both nursing and baby products, effectively eliminating 99.999% of bacteria with NSF certification. Instead of constantly needing to handwash and sterilize bottles or pacifiers, parents can now save time by loading it all in one dedicated wash for hassle-free sanitization.

Additional features of the GE Profile Smart Compact Dishwasher include:

• One Touch Custom Cycles: Available in the SmartHQ app or in one touch on the control panel, the dishwasher offers owners the option to select Custom Cycles based on preference.
• Quick Drying: The dishwasher integrates open-door drying technology, popping open at the end of a cycle to aid in drying and energy efficiency.
• Quiet Yet Powerful Performance: Operating at 52 dBA, this dishwasher delivers powerful performance without disrupting your kitchen ambiance.
• Sleek Glass Design: Sleek glass touch controls and a transparent door allow users to peek inside — a stylish departure from the standard metallic box design.
• Water & Time Saving: Because of advanced cleaning technology in GE Appliances dishwashers, owners save time- simply scrape dishes and let the dishwasher do the rest. Better yet, the Compact Dishwasher uses just two gallons of water per wash—over 75% less than the nine gallons used in traditional handwashing.

The dishwasher also includes smart features powered by SmartHQ, so owners can also enjoy remote start functionality, monitor cycle countdowns, and access new washing cycles and features as they are released through over-the-air updates.

The new GE Profile Dishwasher Double Drawer gives owners two independent drawers in the space of one. Depending on the size of the load, owners can run a single drawer for a quick rinse or both drawers for a combined capacity of up to 14 place settings. Designed for seamless integration, the dishwasher fits within the standard 24” dishwasher cutout and offers convenient waist-level access for easier loading and less bending.

The GE Profile Smart Compact Dishwasher is now available at retailers nationwide, starting at an MSRP of $599. The trim kit will be sold separately for an MSRP of $399. The GE Profile Dishwasher Double Drawer is available for a suggested retail price of $1,099.
